    Greeting all.

I have bought MSI GE63VR Raider from Amazon in July, and its like a dream laptop for my need (if it had G-Sync).
Anyway, so I've seen some reviews about this laptop on the web recently (its been more that 3 months i have this laptop but no reviews until end of September, not sure why), only Tom'shardware stating it have Thunderbolt 3. Almost all other reviews saying it does not have it. I looked on MobilteTechReview on youtube and there is USB Type-C but with no Thunder lable next to it (the one for TB3). Even in MSI website there is no mention about TB3.
Here is the strange part, mine is labled ! and now am confused.
When they announced it in Computex i remember it had TB3 and that one of the reason i got it (for future use external gpu since it does not have g-sync i dont need external monitor).

So i attached 2 photos one i captured from MobileTechReview and one a picture of my laptop.

Pease help if there is any way to know i have TB3 within windows? or there are more than 1 versions of this laptop?
    Thanks in advance

Lol, I've seen the Thunderbolt 3 logo on my GE63VR last week but I didn't care much about it, as I have yet to use it.
It normally should "not" have a thunderbolt 3 port. If it's true then this is definitely false marketing (As in: Hey! Buy the laptop which supposedly says nowhere it has TB3, but we'll still draw a TB3 logo and mislead our loyal customers). I'll see if there is a way to determine the port's number of PCIE lanes (It should have 1. Some laptops have PCIEx2 TB3 like the XPS 15, and most have the known PCIEx4 full fledged TB3).

GE63VR doesn't have a TB3 controller. Sometimes, the marketing side of things can mix a few details incorrectly.

if the MSI GE63VR have Thunderbolt 3 and G-Sync, it would be the perfect gaming laptop.

I believe that the plug in is USB-C/Thunderbolt Legacy plug-in, but it uses USB 3.1 Technology.

It is USB 3.1 connector which is the same kind of connector as Thunderbolt v3 = USB Type-C, but the TB3 controller isn't there so it's just USB 3.1.
