I'm considering new Dell G7, G3, maybe ASUS X570UD (not sure), maybe Lenovo Y520 (bad trackpad, short battery life, bad screen) with 1050ti, or some new ASUS with i5 8th. Please, give me some advice! 2.5 kg or less - ideal. Good screen, good thermals — important.

    1300$

    It doesn't matter

    Dota2, Overwatch.

    9) How many hours of battery life do you need?

    WIN10

    Screen Specifics

    12) From the choices below, what screen resolution(s) would you prefer? Keep in mind screen size in conjunction with resolution will play a large role in overall viewing comfort level. Everyone is different. Some like really small text, while others like their text big and easy to read. (Scroll down to see screen resolution information.)
IPS 1080p with a decent level of brightness and contrast (important). Or I'll replace the screen.

GPU is king. Definitely stay away from the 8750h laptops

    Why? 8th isn't bad comparing with 7th.

no no. 8th gen is fine, just not the 6 core ones.

Most games don't even use 6 cores and the few that do would likely benefit more from a GPU upgrade rather than a CPU one

I mean, if needed, you could get away with an iGPU/MX150/R7 APU , just get something nice, preferably 1060 for 1300

Thanks! What do you think regarding g3? Seems this model has the same characteristics but a bit thinner.
