    I want to return to PC gaming but, it's been awhile since I've owned/used a windows machine and looking for advice on laptops to consider.

    1) What is your budget?

    $1,200

    2) What size notebook would you prefer?

    c. Thin and Light; 13" - 14" screen
    d. Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen
    3) Which country will you buying this notebook?

    US

    4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?

    Open, previously owned an Alienware m11x, it was cool for a first gaming laptop purchase but, don't need anything flashy.
    5) Would you consider laptops that are refurbished/redistributed?

    Yes, via the manufacturer or reputable seller.

    6) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?

    I want to get back into PC gaming so, playing video games.

    7) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both?

    Some travel so, don't want a heavy laptop.

    8) Will you be playing games on your notebook? (If so, please state which games or types of games?)

    Red Dead Redemption 2, Among Us

    9) How many hours of battery life do you need?

    Flexible, imagine with longer gaming sessions will be plugged in.

    10) Would you prefer to see the notebooks you're considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK?

    Indifferent.

    11) What OS do you prefer? Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Chrome OS, etc.

    14) Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you?
    No.

    16) When are you buying this laptop?

    I hope to buy soonish, or, if folks think I'd catch a good deal can wait.

    I would look at something like a Lenovo Legion 5 or HP Omen 2020. This one has a Ryzen 7 4800 and GeForce GTX 1660 Ti for $999.
