Sad reality is - were it a Thinkpad or Elitebook, it would have been fixed eons ago. I personally was extremely lucky to source (used) parts for my Haswell-based Fujitsu Lifebook when I had to repair it...

The Fujitsu laptops were very excellent machines, the LifeBooks especially. Biggest issue is parts and accessories being harder to come by than ThinkPad parts and accessories.
