LOL. Thanks for the bump :)

Based on the 'watchers' and the number of emails I am getting, I dont think thats going to be the case on this one :)

I personally like the ripley, I dont like the skullcap, I think it screams 'teenager.' I guess I'm one of the few that chose the Ripley over the skullcap.

At $1499, I dont think its going to get passed up.. but thats just a guess

I would, of course, compensate for time and effort :)

I've finally heard from Alienware UK. They "do not offer support to people other than the original purchaser". I've told them that I don't need any support, I simply want to buy a cable from them. We'll see how that one works out! From past experience, I suspect I will get a similar curt response! (Not a big fan of Alienware UK's "support" - can you tell?!).

I got a PM from ShinJ who has one for sale but, unfortunately, he's decided to sell it with 2 x 4850's. Much as I would love to upgrade to 4850s, I can't afford to at this moment in time, so the hunt continues!

    What happened then Viper??

I would have liked to have bought your cards but they were just a little out of my price range.
I hope you got what you wanted with the sale.

I see from your Ebay link that you sold the system with a few bids as well.....congrats buddy.
also, I disagree with the comments regarding the Ripley design, I have the Skullcap but think the Ripley design is sleek.

i didnt say I personally dont like the ripley, its okay, i think its boring personally, alomost all laptops have the "smooth" lid, but i would never pass on a killer system like this because of that. what i ment is i see ALOT of these go up and the Ripley versions dont sell as well. i was tempted to buy this thing at the price it went for i was watching it the last few mins, but i just let it go, i thought about putting $1700 just to see if i would get it for that....congrats on the sale though
