    hm...sorta odd uve sold 3 other ones on ebay.. how do u keep getting these from dell?

    They are from 6 different used notebooks bought from ebay and than swapping with new regular hard drives and selling the replacement ssds as the old ssds' have reduced life.

    The notebooks goto the company I work for and since I get the notebooks within budget and according to specs so benefit for me.

    Nothing really, the old drive had slowed down, I told the rep I just bought the notebook and would like the drive replaced.

    So that's the downfall of ssds to fast at times correct?

    well they slow down but compared to harddrives they are even than 10 times faster. The downfall really is space and the price for some.

    Can this drive's firmware be updated to support TRIM? If so, the speed degradation isn't an issue.
