Do you need a specific vBIOS on the card, or just leave it on the unlocked svl7 vBIOS?

I am unsure. I have an Alienware 18x R2 with an unlocked BIOS. I don't know which option would make for a seemless installation. What is the purpose of those card settings? Over clocking..??

Since you're local, if you have time, I can help you with installation. I am a M18x guru. If you haven't already done so, I recommended purchasing 1.0mm thermal pads from ebay, highest w/mk if possible/budget allows so we can keep the card cool

I would be forever grateful. A guru with m18 knowledge is what I sorely need.

Get fresh thermal paste too. My recommendation is the antec formula 7, see if your local bestbuy has it in stock. Very good paste, keeps up with the best of the best conventional paste. If I were you though, I would go for the 780M SLI + extreme CPU (3920XM/3940XM) if you don't have one already, since the whole computer is coming apart and its a "do it while in you're in there" type deal. It will make your computer an absolute beast (see my sig). If you go extreme CPU, you will need conductonaut or liquid ultra so you can keep the temps down when you increase the clock speed

To upgrade to SLI I would need to upgrade power brick. Upgrades at this point are taken in stages. Getting one 780 installed and running seems to be an issue. The one I purchased from eBay I think is fried. System runs fine on gfx onboard.

Eventually I want a beast of a system.
