Just going to say, that's a big ask considering anybody looking to purchase one of these for gaming now can get it for under 600$ on ebay. Chinese are grafting 1070 cores onto Pxxxx series boards for a fraction of the P5000 price.

aaah so thats what those "Dell 1070" cards are? i was wondering already how those came into existence :) watching several of those offers on ebay as potential GPU upgrades for my machine, should go nicely with my 9900K :p

Apparently using the tesla p6 mxm reference board + sticking a 1070 core on there instead of the quadro or tesla core

fine by me, higher clocks, lower price and 8 GB are still sufficient for vRAM :)

    1. As for quadro, you are basically purchasing the driver, the card is more of a gift.
    2. I have one of those GTX 1070 cards. They look more like based on Quadro P3000/P4000 or the Asrock GTX 1060. Quadro P5000 is a different but similar PCB with the extra vRAM on the backside.
    3. If those are chinese copies, I'd sincerely doubt the stability and durability of those cards (10+ layers of PCB with that power draw and possible interference and they usually cut corners on the components). But those cards looks like from some unknown machines to me. (Also the vBIOS on those cards allows for 115W power draw)

But I have to agree, very few people have the need for quadro functions. And together for the imperfection of P5000m on M6700, those are the reasons for me to sell this card
