    OLD ITEM DESCRIPTION:

I bought this awhile ago thinking I could get it fixed and use it as an upgrade. Nothing ever came out of that, as it is the case with many other side projects of mine. I'm looking to sell everything related to this laptop minus the boot drive and call it quit. I'm at a point in life where I think I won't be moving around as often anymore.

I'm not sure why the laptop doesn't work with it.
My observations with the 1080 installed can be seen here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/broken-gtx-1080.830255/

I think the motherboard is still working to an extent since I noticed that during the booting attempts with the 1080 installed, some files under Windows folder on the boot drive display Date Modified after the laptop was shipped.

I am open to offers. Let me know if you need more pictures or have concerns regarding the laptop. Selling everything as a big bundle to save time. I'm not sure how much shipping would be, but I expect it to be less than $50.

If you had access to another system, you could really eliminate a lot of the guesswork fast. You're located in Cali, so I wonder if a user has a DMx, KMx, or TMx to test out parts real quick.

Maybe the 1070 you have has the wrong vbios to work with the system, which system did the 1070 come from?
