Not blue cards, green ones for sure they wont work in Clevo apart from a few nVidia ones that I know of.

Hey, which VBios did you flash that the card was shown as M290X in Windows?

Sorry for such a delayed response.
The vBIOS I believe I flashed is:
    015.032.000.003.044465
Which can be found here: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/154276/clevo-r9m290x-4096-130423

I remember flashing the latest one, and this is the latest one I could find for Clevo and TechPowerUp is where I got it.

    No problem.
But I tried every Clevo VBios. Nothing changed. In Windows also 8970m. Or did you use a beta driver or something?

The name wont change for some cards its down to the drivers but the M290X is effectively just a 8970M with a higher core clock and a different name, its the same card so keep in mind that the driver could get confused and just name your card as the 8970M because technically M290X was only for specific Clevo machines and the computer ID is tied to the name which yeah stupid but nothing can be done about it, you can physically alter the name in the drivers to force it to be M290X but really its no different only the clock speed is.

015.032.000.003.044465 was the one on the card, it worked well on my p150EM and M17x
