You mean the M15x, the m15x uses MXM 2.1 ;)

The Dell cards will work fine, even fan control, the Clevo cards are the ones which don't have native fan control in the M15x (though it's vice versa in the M17x r2... crazy huh?), but there's HWiNFO for controlling the fans in this case.
Since this is a Dell card it should work fine.

    Bump - - -
The card is still available. Price is US$298 shipped within the USA or US$310 shipped internationally.

    Hi,

I have a question, the amd 6970m dell version works in a clevo w860cu.
But how can I find out if the firepro m8900 will work?

I know you could flash this one to 6970 but i dont like the risk of a card that doesnt work :p

If it will work then im interested!

^ You guess and try it, thats how you find out.

Or you could ask him to test it in a np8170, but I don't think he'll do that.

Its up to you to determine compatibility, use your own head and have opinions about what will work or not (yes its nearly intangible to all of us so you might as well have opinions).

Yeah.. eitherway I buy an Amd 6970 and flash it to firepro or buy a firepro..
Since the amd 6970m is almost the same price as firepro.

(I hate to buy things that im not sure of if they'll work :p)

Yes, reports say you can flash them back and forth, but since the card sold over a month ago, it is moot.

    Thanks for the interest.
