As you stated the 3D version could be bought for ~$2500?
Here is my same exact system with the ONLY thing different being the 3d vision package which apparently includes the blu-ray which is a $150 option. (Copied and pasted from Alienware this morning):

I know that you CAN get a cheaper m17xR3 but you can not get one cheaper with the options that mine has installed in it. That is the preference of whoever decides if they want to buy it or not. Other than that I do not know where people are getting their math from to say that my price is too high for the laptop that I have for sale.

I did not order a base model M17xR3 and I am not selling this laptop for base model price. It is not a base model laptop.

I do not mean to come across rudely or anything but I can not understand why my price (which is more than $300 below the original price when you include both the SSD and HDD as well as tax free (which is $250 here) and shipping included...) is so outrageous to people that they have to "let me know" on my thread instead of in a PM.

Please don't take this post the wrong way. I just needed to clear up that I am not just pulling some number out of my @ss for a price. This is a good deal on a practically new laptop for someone who is considering going above the base model.

As for what else is added: I copied and pasted exactly what this system has in it directly from the Alienware website. I have hidden nothing. It's all listed in my last post. Maybe you are forgetting the warranty? Processor upgrade? I'm not sure what you are calculating based on but I have listed everything already and EXACTLY what Alienware charges for it.

I do not know what else I could do to prove to you that these numbers are right. Maybe I should give a link to the real Alienware site?

The Dell Online Store: Build Your System

By the way, you say you forgot the SSD but it still comes out to $2500? That link I listed shows that Dell charges $2074.00 for the base model 3D version M17xR3. If the ONLY thing you add is the SSD ($600 as you stated) that makes it $2674.00 which (check my math on this one) is more than $2500... Not to mention I have MANY more upgrades than that.

I mean this with all due respect but your $2500 price figure is wrong according to Alienware/Dell not just according to me.

If I remember correctly, the R3 with 460M and 3D and bluray used to have a discount of $275, and the price was 17xx or close (I cant remember exactly) but not anymore.

Btw, good luck with ur selling. There must be someone who is interested in this. Its a nice machine, absolutely.

Best way to sell it is to list it without the SSD or any extra software
You can sell the software/SSD separately just my 2c
cause atm all i see is 2450$ for m17xR3 without an SSD, the price doesn't make sense, you can get it cheaper by buying it from Dell if not then the thread is not organized very well for people to tell

I did post that at the top of this page. Its available to be purchased without the SSD if someone would rather have it that way.

If anyone would be interested I will do the Laptop minus the extras (SSD, programs) for $2300 shipped to the USA.

I figure that gives more people an option if they are not interested in the SSD.

UPDATED PRICES! If you want the laptop as it is with everything installed and the extra 4GB DDR3 RAM and all of the programs: $2750 shipped (That is over $3200 plus tax and shipping when bought from Alienware)
If you want the Laptop minus the SSD, extra 4GB DDR3 RAM, extra programs: $2300 shipped (that is over $2400 plus tax and shipping when bought from Alienware)

I added that to the original post to help not to confuse anyone on the price.
    Open to reasonable offers

If someone decides to buy this laptop I will also be willing to sell my other gaming equipment along with it all in the original boxes with everything included.

    That would include:
    Zalman NC2000 notebook cooler
    Alienware Orion backpack
    Kingstone Hyper X DDR3 1600 RAM (8 or 16GB unopened)

    Possibly:
Razer Goliathus control M gaming pad
    Razer Deathadder
    Razer Carcharias gaming headset

I would be happy to work out pricing with the person who buys this laptop. I will not be selling the extras if the laptop does not sell.
