    HI.

Does this card has been tested on those models for stability/stress test? Any issues so far?

These cards are manufactured by Clevo specifically for these notebook models. If there is an issue, Clevo will not sell them as an upgrade kits for these specific models.

Thanks for the info. I just want to take precautions since this upgrade would be the most expensive investment. :)

These are pretty insane prices for a 6990M and this is an insanely great seller selling them. I'd jump on them and if any M17x-R2 owners want to give this a try, they should; I've exhausted my ATi GPU Quota for this year :)

Does Clevo have a bios limitation for switching between Nvidia and AMD? If my original card was an Nvidia I cant use an AMD in the 170HM correct?

I will second Ichime's post. This pricing is amazing and the seller is great! He is extremely responsive and more importantly fair.

I have already jumped on this deal.

You can switch between AMD & Nvidia without problem. Sometimes you have to update your BIOS/EC in order that the system communicate well with all the new and old cards. Since the P170HM is one of the Clevo model which support officially the 6990M card, then no fair, Clevo will update its BIOS if they judge that it's necessary to do that.
