I needed to switch to OSX Mojave at work so I am using a different machine now because the Nvidia drivers are only supported on up to High Sierra.
I have it on ebay for $2500 right now, as its stock configuration. I may list it here too for the same.

I say you should keep it and slap a GTX 1080 in it. :)

No heatsink that is compatible with either type of MSI GTX 1080 as far as I know.

Give me a full screen shot of the bottom of the laptop with the cover off so I can see. I'm sure i can find parts.

The first post is photos from swapping the CPU back in November. The second is from swapping the GPU last month. Note that the WT75 doesn't have a supplemental power connector for the GPU like the GT73VR / GT75VR, but I not sure that the EC would let me go beyond a 330W power brick anyways, so I don't know if it matters. Correct me if I am wrong, but if I were to mod the TDP on the GTX 1070 up to 150W+, wouldn't it perform close to a GTX 1080 anyways?

Yes, it should be up around 20-21k firestrike gpu with a TDP mod and appropriate cooling which is stock 150W notebook 1080 territory
