    Hi,

The screen of my laptop got broken some time ago.
What I want to do is use my external monitor as my screen. But I just can't get my laptop to use the external monitor.
I have a m860tu and used dvi hdmi but nothing worked.

I also formatted my hard drive so I cant even get an OS installed now.
I do know that I could force the external screen when I still had windows 7 installed.

    Please help!

Disconnect the internal screen for good, works at least on the newer models.

So I just disconnected the screen completely and tested it. But it still doesn't working I tried it with Dvi and Hdmi cables.
I guess it really does need a screen.

But thanks for the replies, any other suggestions?

VGA usually goes through if you have it.
