Flashing 7970 Vbios Checksum difference

    when i check the checksum they do not match? even tho i modified it from my original vbios

    here are the 2 vbios original and modded.

    can anyone help with this? what did i do wrong.

    Err, why would they match? They're different files with different settings, if i'm getting it right.
    You're basically supposed to check the checksum of the file as soon as you create it, write it down, and re-check it just as you're about to flash it, to minimize the risk of file corruption in-between.

    Using ati flash to create the vbIos, where will it tell me the checksum?

    After you create the vbios, you can just use atiflash -cf in windows immediately after creating the file. That's when the risk of it being already corrupted is minimal. Then write it down and re-check when you flash it.

    The values have changed so I would have though this would modify the checksum....

    This is true. It will vary if the file varies.

    If the tool is saying that the file integrity is good then you should be fine.
