What do you think is more fun for a first timer on this.

ATV driving (sport or utility?) or dirt biking? I have never driven a motorcycle before or a ATV, I am a little nervous about dirt biking because I have fell off my bike a bit and I think it would hurt more with a bike a little heavier and faster..

    Then don't fall. :p
I'd much rather take the dirt bike than the ATV, if I was not so strapped for cash I would've gotten a street bike instead of my car for going to the city.

I was just thinking of renting for my 18th birthday and having fun, not as a purchase.

AVT's are much more n00b friendly, even more so if you get an automatic. If your not used to a clutched motor bike then you'll spend the whole rental time trying to figure out how to drive it correctly.
