It’s been years of wishing I’d never sold my M11x R3’s but one finally came up and I managed to add it to the collection again. Pretty happy with the price considering how rare they are down in Australia. especially the Nebula Red.

Nice. I still have my nebula red r3 i7. Not sure I’ll ever part with it unless the price is right lol.
    Congrats!

Thanks. I could flip it for a small profit but I've always regretted selling my other ones so I may have to hold onto it.

Exciting day! Forgot just how awesome these little machines are.

I'm really tempted to try and flip it for a quick buck but then I'd be back in the position of wanting one again.

I like my little guy so much I bought extra red parts and screen. Looking for a spare motherboard just to have with i7/540 lol. Great little machine. Would like to see them make a dedicated gpu m11 r4 lol

As much as I hate modern BGA machines, I would have to grab a new 11 if they did one.

Can you elaborate on what exactly you hate about modern BGA machines and gove examples?

I am asking because I am genuinely curious.

Btw I wouldnt sell it, its just not worth the small profit margin you would gain from it and its definitely a good price you paid.

I have has several gaming laptops and I was never really happy with their quality, for example the w110er had a hinge design flaw which is unfixable and in general ghe m11x is a great durable machine.

I know the dilemma btw, I have a m11x r3 in perfect condition (like new nearly), paid a similiar price as you but I just cant sell it, not even for 500 euros plus

I just don't like being tied to a CPU, GPU or Memory without the ability to replace or upgrade. I understand why they are doing it but it doesn't make it easier to swallow.

I did end up selling the M11x. I wish I could have kept it but it would have sat in the cupboard and the cash came in handy. I will probably never find one in as good condition ever again though. It would have been 95% flawless. Just a few very light scratches on the bottom.

How about an Alienware 8" Windows 10 tablet that is more powerful than the AW M11X R3 by like 3x (Iris Pro 655 vs GT 540M)

This is what I remember wishing my AW M11X was more like back in the day. It was very cool, but could have been smaller. What will make or break this concept is a a good keyboard attachment
