Fastest DDR4 rams for notebooks

    hello , im gonna buy the new alienware 17 and the fastest ram they offer is 2667mhz so i was wondering should i buy rams from amazon ? coz either way im gonna pay hell alot of money for the laptop and i want the best thing in my laptop so does any of u know about this stuff coz im kind of a noob i dont know about latency i just know the speed is important in games and i know its not important by alot but i just want the best thing i'd appreciate if someone helps me with this decision

    You can swap the RAM on your own as long as you know how to teardown the whole machine but if not then you better buy it already installed.

    You should hold out on buying faster ram until you have the machine in your hands. Chances are Alienware will gimp the bios so you can't run 3000mhz ram.

    I don't have one yet. Maybe around the end of the month. Will have to wait and see how that plays out. If that happens I will go with 2x16B DDR4-3000.

    I've heard the BIOS is meant to support 3000hz out of the box. I've noticed most resellers only offering 2800mz though. We'll see soon.
