oh, the power adapter. I believe that this thing is not the problem. because if you unplug it then plug it back in again, there's power. also, testing it with e voltage tester and it passed. I believe that something in the laptop shorted.

when i plug the power at the back of the laptop, the power logo down at the bottom will lit for 1-2 secs, then die. if I redo the steps, it will just do the exact same thing.... bummer...

Voltage is NOT the same as actual power draw, if you can find another power adaptor to try or another laptop with same volt/amp requirements go that way FIRST. BTW does the battery have onough charge to power the laptop??

ya know when I first saw your posts you had keyboard issues , I wonder if you could recheck your power button ribbon cable as you had to move that strip in order to get to the kb screws, it has a very small ribbon cable that is easly messed up.

Sorry if I'm missing something here ... I logged in to see the pictures on this thread (I need to figure out how to remove the keyboard), but I don't see any pictures.

    Have they been deleted?

Quite possible, since it is an old thread, even though it is a sticky one :D

Threads older than 6 months are usually candidates for "close"!

    cheers ...
