    Hi,

Just got my first MSI after my 51M burned. The 51m feels like a toy compared to the GE75 I got instead with the 9880H and the 2080 RTX. I mainly use it for CPU intensive work. The results are fantastic. I got it from Gentech repasted.

Undervolt is at -120. Even without temperatures are great.

At full capacity multithread on all cores temperatures are 77-81, and the max 3.98GHZ (the model is locked at that when full core and multithread is active). However - for some reason it has plenty of room to do other things when at full load. I utilize all CPU as I am writing this, exporting an app.

When doing VR/gaming it is around 4.4-4.5 at 58-71 celcius.

Excellent cpu I must say, for a laptop.

Have not done any official benchmarks. I only undervolted and started exporting which is 4hr completely full load on CPU and it seems like it has room to use beyond the 3.98ghz - which is nice as it removes stutter.

So far very happy about this.

Curious to hear of other peoples experience. I think for gaming/single use core you can push it even higher. But since I use it for work I do not overclock or anything. Stability is key for this laptop used for work.

Sounds nice. I wish I would have waited a few weeks to get mine, but then again mine was only $2200 vs $3000.

What are you seeing for Firestrike and Timespy results?

I just finished repasting (LM and new pads) the GS75 Stealth (9880H/2080MQ) and it's pretty impressive... Once I get back to the office I'll post up a firestrike run. I'm curious how it'll compare to your unit.

Is your laptop LM'ed or repasted with regular paste?

I just downloaded the benchmark software fro Steam but need to pay for fire strike. Might get it for fun. I never use it otherwise. But this is quite fun this time!

FYI the first time I tested it I was not using coolerbooster, and therefore just at 65% cooler. Definetely room to OC stuff on this.

I had it repasted at Gentech.

However, my laptop was also 3700, so on the expensive end but needed reliable alternative to 51m. And I am happy with this so far.

Timespy I just ran and score was 10000

Is there a difference on running it on a 4K monitor vs native 1080p? If so, then I want to run it on 4K since that is what I use it for and VR.

I also just realized I am using an outdated GPU driver. Might try timespain again with udpated one. My CPU does not go much above 70 celcius.

I just ran it. Graphic score no overclocking is 26045 so OK and as expected. Total score is 21199. Will try a slight OC on GPU:D

That's impressive. I need to update my 3dmark and test, because my last Graphics Score was 20k and yours is 22k for the same GPU. Are you using stock vbios or 90w version?
