    It will run hot with 50% higher power consumption with working stock clocks.

    On my WT75 I can tweak VR Current Limit to around 475, which allows up to 95W TDP. My guess is EC interference due to the fact that these machines were only designed by MSI to use up to the 80W Xeon CPU. Maybe once Intel releases their 8-core Xeon then MSI will refresh the WT75 and release a new BIOS / EC better supporting the higher TDP processors.

    Can't you "cheat" it using IMon slope?

    Yes, that can be done too. Actually, in order to get the best overclock (using an air conditioner to cool or such) you would want to do both the imon slope trick and vr current trick to get a max theoretical 190W instead of 160W. Sad, but just the way things are with the current bios / ec.
