    Thanks, I assume details are under wraps for now, except for that press release info, but Eurocom did list 2 RTX named GPU's, which suggest there will be laptop versions of RTX, or maybe some miscommunication?

    "GTX 1180, GTX 1170, RTX 1080, RTX 1070"

    "Eurocom references mobile GeForce RTX 1070, RTX 1080, GTX 1180, and GTX 1170, updates Sky series with Core i9-9900K and i7-9700K (Source: Eurocom)"

    "Had Eurocom mentioned these GPUs before Gamescom, then we would have been quick to label them as placeholder names. However, the reseller is explicitly mentioning these GPU names almost two full days after the public reveal of the desktop RTX series in Cologne."

    First, you must consider the source. If the source is not NVIDIA, then with no corroboration coming from a reliable source, that is simply not enough for me...nor should it be for anyone else. It is just gossip.

    Fair enough. We can wait for some official clarity. :)

    welp if 1180 1170 is coming then its most likely premium dollars of "full desktop GPU" but giving us a cut down version in comparison to laptop.

    looks like its back to the old days of 780 vs 780m = 770, except this time they are going to continue to charge premium while giving a cut down version. no competition = milk away! good things i got no plans of buying a new GPU for another 2-3 years.

    @Donald@HIDevolution
    Need a lappy ASAP, can’t really wait till all this 20 series Nvidia chimera wears off. Would you recommend going with 1070 non Q version? Will it last me another two years?

    There will be no next gen NVIDIA laptop GPU’s until early 2019.

    Whether the nVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 will work for you for the next couple of years will depend on what you are going to do with it. For gaming, and business productivity, it should be fine.

    Why are you posting in this thread? In which laptop are you interested?

    The ssd sled has a 2.5 drive screwed into the opposite side. The top of the drive is directly below the touchpad.

    Smh. This is what the what GT75 8Rx should've been:
    [IMG]

    Instead it got the same cooling setup as the GT73/GT75 7Rx despite the much hotter 8th gen CPUs:
