I'm looking for a desktop replacement / graphics work station, and I've been checking out Eurocom on the net. Since they don't have a show room anywhere near where I live, I have no way to see the machines before purchace (unless I take a trip up North)

Anyone have experience with these machines? How are they? How's the service? Any issues to be aware of?

In particular, what are the screens like? dull or bright?

    Thanks!

Eurocom laptops are usually Clevo ODM's, and are identical to the Sager's sold by www.pctorque.com . Eurocom has a reputation for publishing spec's on laptops that won't be available for months; but I don't know of any particular problems with their service. In my experience, PCTorque has better prices.

Thanks for the suggestion, those are some nice prices at pctorque...

but $475 for a paint job?!?

I originally posted this under hardware... someone moved it - guess this was the wrong type of hardware to discuss?

That's about the going rate for the automobile-grade finishes. I'd rather save the cash and go with the original case. :)
