    Hi,

I've installed on my CF-19FHGAXNT the card Ericsson F5521GW/HP HS2340 and I've set the dip switch as shown here.

Windows (XP SP3) recognize the new device and right install the driver for the
    following device:

    - HP hs2340 HSPA+ Mobile Broadband module Data Modem
    - HP hs2340 HSPA+ Mobile Broadband module Modem
    - HP hs2340 HSPA+ Mobile Broadband module device management(COM17)
    - HP hs2340 HSPA+ Mobile Broadband module device management(COM9)

but the driver for the HP hs2340 HSPA+ Mobile Broadband module network adpter is not working (error 39 Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing)

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you,

A card from a HP laptop will not work. Best bet is to get a card from a Panasonic laptop.

Welcome to the Panasonic Toughbook forum

Wish we could help you but this has been tried many times over the years and no one has got a HP one running on a Toughbook. There must be a few dozen threads like yours where members have tried and failed. Like Shawn said it must be from a Toughbook.

It can be from a Lenovo, btdt. Do a search on my posts. It only requires modding of the panasonic drivers .inf -files to detect the lenovo card as compatible

Sorry but here it's written that the CF-19 can be equipped with F5521gw, why it should not work then?

My module it's bios unlocked so can be work on any laptop, no?

Thank you but my card is recognized with the PID_3A1D.

If I try to connect with dial up connection (windows xp) I get an error 734 "The PPP Link Control Protocol Was Terminated", but the led of UMTS turns on.

PID_3A1D...That card is from a HP.

It won't work with a different brand laptop than it was sold with....The "unlocked" thing is a scam...
The F5521gw and Gobi cards MUST have the software from the same manufacturer that the card originally came in....In your case, that would be HP.
The HP software will not work on anything but a HP. The Panasonic software won't work on anything but a Panasonic.
One or two members managed to get an off brand card to work...The other 98% fail.

A big part of the problem is misunderstanding of how these modems work...
They are universal in that they will work on any telecom carrier. How they do this is that upon EVERY boot up of your computer, the software package reflashes the modem (F5521gw or Gobi) to the carrier you use.(Verizon, ATT etc..)..
Any firmware flash is complicated..It checks for the proper card, model and version...It then checks for proper laptop..Third it checks for proper operating system...If those 3 things are correct, THEN it flashes the modem to your carrier. Then the laptop continues to boot.

Saying it's a F5521gw and it should work is like saying well it's a Ford pickup part so it should work in any Ford pickup. It's just not that simple.

The best/only solution is spend the money on the CORRECT part from a Toughbook...Do NOT buy this from any China seller...
Gobi2000 from used Toughbooks are selling for $30.00..It is not worth saving the $30 to hammer a square peg into a round hole..
