I bought a HP DV7 laptop with fingerprint reader. I am having issues with the fingerprint software. Earlier, I could not make it read but the validity software seemed okay in the device manager. Now, its working overtime ie. HP SimplePass 2011 is asking to save login for all the sites. I don't want this as there are many sites where I have multiple logins which is taken care of by lastpass.

How do I enable or disable simplepass at my whim ?

    thanks.

Go to accessories, run Then type MSCONFIG

In your startup group, you can check and uncheck it running on startup as you please.

    It's not there.
Well, I found the solution. There is settings in that software where you can disable website login.

Does anyone have the issue of having a disk icon when first trying to log in after sleeping? During this time I can't log in with the fingerprint reader.
