Yes I am currently looking for a gaming laptop that is $1,200 or under. I keep reading on these four companies and really do not know who to go with. There are some little price differences and what not, but in the end seem the same. I am going for a Clevo system which all three of these companies sell. I have also read a little bit about Gentech, but can't find any real evidence if they are good or not. Any help is awesome! Thanks ahead of time for the info.

    • Total budget and country of purchase: $1,200, USA

    • Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply. Best specifications for the money

    • How important is weight and thinness to you? Not important at all

    • Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux. Windows

    • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. 15.6

    • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. Gaming. I play LoL, WoW, and want to get into Battlefield (or any FPS)

    • If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? I would like to play games on High settings or better without issues. I understand a $1,200 laptop won't play every game out there at those settings, but something that is close

    • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? Reliable build quality, good customer service

    • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.I am all about best bang for your buck and customer service. I believe customer service is huge and can really make or break a purchase. Build quality is nice as well, but I know with only$1,200 I cant expect perfection.

Gentechs main edge is they offer conductive thermal pastes for free which is pretty cool. Otherwise non of them are too different.
