    Hey Guys,

my egpu throttles around 170-190W, the tpd only shows 50-60% power, but throttles power,
i cant find a solution for this.
Firestrike Extreme went from 14500 to 12000
    Gpuscore.
and timespy from 9600 to 7500,

The Gpu has 250-290W for about a second then throttles to 170-190W

Power slider in afterburner is at 111% LN2 Bios, egpu is an Razer Core X, notebook is an early 19 Stealth 8565u with modded Bios 4,1GHz allcore (860cinebench 15)

i really dont know whats the Problem, maybe someone has an idea,

    thanks a lot

Try reseating the card and the power supply cables to the card. Sounds like it could be a power delivery issue but it's hard to tell.

Also make sure you don't have your power limit set below 100% for some reason in any software that manages the GPU.

yeah i also tought about this because i use a 8pin to 2x8pin splitter cable and i heard the lightning Z only uses power from the 8pins and not the pcie slot, ill buy a decent psu and try it.

    thanks :)

Had this problem before with a Titan X Pascal not utilizing beyond 50-60% of TDP. Issue was accompanied by maximum fan spin on the eGPU at all times. Problem solved by disabling the dGPU via Device Manager followed by a reboot.

With 2080ti in alienware amplifier we score 32-38000 gpu Points in fire strike. What is your gpu score? or over 11000 in time spy with 9900k

    yeah this was before throtteling

so with locked 8565u completely fine, now CPU score is higher but gpu score only 8,5k

firestrike gpu only 26k, but without the powerlimit it will be over 30k for sure

    edit:
its a windows issue, when you 3D mark is in background when starting the benchmark its fine only in foreground about 30% slower same with furemark ... damn windows

Not the Intel-integrated graphic, I'm talking about the dedicated 2060. Disable that in device manager while you have your Razer Core X plugged in, then do a restart.

See attached. I had to disable both dGPU cards in order to force the Nvidia driver to start taking the Titan X Pascal more seriously.

i only have the Intel igpu and the coreX, i think im not able to disable the device because in gpuZ there is always a coreclock and memclock showing even the igpu is disabled in device manager
