No real point since you need to install and use Origin client anyway. If you buy an EA game on Steam then you need 2 clients to run instead of 1.

For some of the games yeah, i.e. NFS Heat, BFV, DAI, probably more (these were the only I checked).
Newly remastered C&C doesn't need it though, older games most likely don't need it too (haven't checked).

I'm also not a fan of double DRM, made a mistake of buying ACII and ACIII on Steam, really hated that you had to go through all that crap to launch a game...
But, for some people, who want to have their game library in "one place", this may work. After all, it's great to have options to choose from.
Personally, I don't suffer from memory loss yet, so I can remember which platform has which games, therefore choose to buy directly to avoid double DRM...

Add Burnout Paradise Remastered to the 2 client list.

Yeah its annoying but most gamers have Steam, UPlay, Origin, Epic games and etc installed anyways but most of them uses steam as their main client.

It's a nice feature, but its implementation is not ideal. I downloaded Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on Steam not realizing I had to go through extra steps to download and connect to Origin before I could play it. Steam and Origin had problems playing nice together at first, and it was a hassle to get the game to work.

I recently downloaded GOG Galaxy 2.0, which I've found is a much more elegant way to easily access games on multiple launchers.

And? To have all games in one place wasn't my problem. In fact, I prefer to have them all separately, to avoid clutter. I still can remember which games I have on which platform.
And to be honest I'm not a big fan of Galaxy 2. I much prefer the older version. I have disabled Steam integration, but for some reason it still includes my Steam games in library...
