Manual installation of newest Intel drivers via control panel/Devices was the trick, installed now!
    Installer didn´t work.

Could you kindly explain how you did this manual install? Thanks

Extract the contents of the setup executable, run "devmgmt.msc", find the device, right-click and select "Update Driver Software", then browse to the folder with the extracted contents. It will automatically locate the INF file, or you can manually browse to it.

The tricky part is extracting the contents of the executable, which varies in difficulty depending on the vendor. Dell driver packages will automatically extract when you run the EXE, so just exit out of the GUI setup when it finishes extracting. For other installers, you may need to use WinRAR/WinZip/7-Zip to unpack the EXE, or worst case, dig in the temp folder.

Thank you. I know how to find the files that are extracted to %temp% when running the installer. I am frustrated by the outdated Dell driver as I am having problems with setting screen resolution when connecting to many external projectors. I have had this problem with another Dell (e6430U). I suspect the problem is endemic to the HD4000 video chipset.

Just an update. The latest drivers (15.33.14.64.3412, package 218426) on the Intel website unpack to a directory structure that includes a folder called "Graphics". A manual search and update from device manager had it installed fine. Now to see if it makes any difference with externally connected VGA devices such as projectors.

    Hey.

On Windows 7, which I got my Dell onboard with, I used to use Dell Touchpad driver app (preinstalled), which let me use right side of touchpad as a scroll and left side as a zoom slider.
When few days ago I upgraded it to Win 8.1 and downloaded the drivers, Dell's app features turned out to differ from the previous one's and now I have to zoom by pinching fingers and scroll with two fingers going up or down the touchpad tile.

Do you know where can I download the old version of that app? This one makes me furious with the touchpad I really used to like.

You should be able to find it again either by selecting Windows 7, or look for "Previous Versions" on the latest version's download page.

Thanks, Robin24k, I've found there the previous A04 release but still it's not what I'm looking for. Still no tab with single finger scrolling or zooming features' toggle. I'm not interested in multi finger gestures.

The feature should still be there, I have single finger scrolling on my E6220 with Windows 8.1.

By default as a Windows feature or in every single "Dell Touchpad" app's release? Can you post the screenshot of the app at yours? I'll show mine:

There's nothing I can change about it in Windows' mouse settings panel either.
