    Yes... HP puts a "White List" in the BIOS to only allow items in the list to function (Sucks). It's hard to say whether the 6235 will work or not. Generally... if you can find another HP notebook built during the same time frame as yours with a like chipset but a better WiFi card, you have a good chance of being accepted in the BIOS. If your unit is much older than the Wifi card you are interested in using, then it will likely not function without finding a custom BIOS that has had the White List removed. Search the Web, you might get lucky and find an existing Modded BIOS. Just be careful because you can easily brick your notebook!
