I don't really get the point of luxury police cars. When our PD wants to impress people, we can roll out the Bearcat. And unlike a Lamborghini, it actually has a law enforcement job too (SWAT raids and standoffs).

Around here they're pretty much Chargers and Explorers, how boring.

    Around here, it's:

Run-of-the-mill patrol cars: Chargers, Tauruses, Caprice PPVs, Explorers, or Crown Victorias (yes they're still out there), depending on the agency.

    Sheriff's Department boat-towing vehicles: F-150s and Tahoes.

Unmarked highway interceptors: Typically seized or forfeited vehicles that have been repurposed, these aren't predictable at all. I've seen Mustangs, I've seen a fourth-gen Camaro, and as a classic "welcome to rural Oregon, buddy" awesome, I've seen a Dodge Ram Power Wagon repurposed as a stealth interceptor (not sure which agency's it was, but I saw it involved in a pursuit on I-5 in southern Oregon).

SWAT: This is split evenly between BearCats (like the one pictured above) and military-surplus MRAPs.

Oklahoma State Patrol got a couple of pursuit Suzuki Hayabusas a while back, that was pretty cool.
