Ahhh, so it's DigitalPersona that doesn't support IE9 and Firefox 4, where Simplepass 2011 does?

I read somewhere that the fingerprint software that was going to stop being supported and updated did not support them.

It was the Digitalpersona that was going out.

HP Simplepass 2011 does even less than the version Justin posted above (They remove features on each newer version, they are now premium items).

2011 only does windows login and a very annoying basic web login.
The GUI to me, is something to get used to.

The backup and import option now cost $4 bucks a month.
The encryption addon now cost $20. <-- really useless, maybe does more damage in the long run.

It is a bit faster than the previous version.

The one posted by HP now, doesn't support FF4.
It be a couple of months before HP releases an updated version.

Thanks Z3tor, now up along with a few other updates.

    05/08/2011
    • Updated Synaptics TouchPad driver to version 15.2.8.0.
    • Updated IDT High Definition Audio driver to version 6.10.6327.0.
    • Updated Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller driver to version 2.0.34.1.

I have not seen HP release a BIOS update for the dv6-4XXX and dv7-429X / dv7-5XXX models. I wonder if HP forgot about you guys... :(

Soooo lame the specs are pretty much the same. I wonder if the chips on the board are even different. The only difference I see on the specs are usb 3.0 and the color..
    Lame....

My ssd firmware wont detect the drive for update either...
    Annoying

I recently purchased my HP dv6tqe-6000 series with HP's SimplePass 2011 software. Decided to purchase and install the AuthenTec KeepSafe addon from the store. However, I receive these error messages after I restarted and attempted to initialize the application:

    Can anyone please, help?

I have a problem: I can't turn beats audio on with or off with fn + b. I have installed the IDT driver. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Edit: Looks like I had an older version of the driver. I'm going to try the new one.
