Is the vBIOS you are trying to flash from MXM or BGA? Is the VRAM capacity the same? If the answer to either question is different than what you have then it will not wirk.

Are you using -6 in the command? If so, then I'm not sure what the deal is. The only other thing that might be the issue is one having Gsync and the other one not.

115W VBIOS taken from the MSI GL65-10SEK

Left image is the MSI GS65-8SE with a flashed 90W VBIOS taken from another MSI Laptop.
Second image the GPU-Z output on the MSI GL65-10SEK

Both 1023 kb in size, I have attached a zip file containing the working 90W VBIOS with functional DP for the RTX2060, along with the VBIOS of the 115W variant.

Yeah, same for me. Something about the 115W is incompatible. Probably mismatched for something dumb like G-Stink. The 90W vBIOS is totally worthless for me as well. Same as a Clevo vBIOS. My mini-DP ports become non-functional and without the ability to use both of my external monitors this machine becomes totally worthless to me. I bought it for work and can't use it for work with only the laptop screen.

Funny, this was the only 90w VBIOS that got my mDP back, possibly because it was from another MSI laptop. I have another 3 90W VBIOS, if you want to try, 2 Razer and one Asus.

Probably dumb question but, did you make sure to reinstall NVIDIA drivers after flashing (only way I could get mDP back)?

Really? If it works on your TongFang it should work on mine. Thanks for mentioning that.

I will try it again and see. Maybe it will work if I use DDU rather than reinstalling over the top of the existing driver. I did reinstall it but did not use DDU because I was installing the same driver version. Maybe something in the registry needs to be removed using DDU after the firmware flashing.

It is really a shame most if these turdbooks have Optimus. Would be much better with a mux switch to disable the Intel Graphics.

No, it still didn't work even after removing drivers with DDU and reinstalling. There is one vBIOS that @Prema provided that works with the mini-DP but the laptop display will not work as a third monitor. The only vBIOS that I can get both mini-DP to work along with the laptop display is the stock one. I rely on using all three display 5 days a week for work, so I will just have to stick with the stock vBIOS. But, that's OK. I am probably going to do a shunt mod anyhow and then it will not matter what firmware it has. The power limit will be more than what the 2060 is capable of drawing. I am hoping that it will draw enough power to exhaust the capacity of the AC adapter and I will have to use my leftover 330W AC adapter for gaming or benching.
