Has anyone noticed how dell just seems to be changing the colour of the original inspiron 9400 case and calling it something different (obvious the insides are different) but i mean c'mon surely a big company like dell could be a little more creative than that, although i do like the look of the new XPS M1710 it would be nice to see a little more style in what is meant to be the top of the range lappy, what do you guys think?

How ever similar the E1705/I9400 look to the XPS M1710, they're built on different chasis, the XPS being slightly larger and heavier for obvious reasons. IMO, they look too similar (except for the exterior casing and lighting and keyboard) to warrant spending over $2500 one. The XPS has the "cool" factor and the graphics power that the E1705/I9400 lack, however.

Original Inspiron 9400....I guess you mean ORIGINAL 9200 (I think). The look has been recycled over for quite a while...my 9300 doesn't look too different aside from stickers with the 9400.
