Interesting that my M1530 that I received on Friday came with Vista x32!

Dell does not ship any M1530 with Vista x64 AFAIK.

I'm stupid. Said the complete opposite of what I wanted to say.

CORRECTION: Dell is currenly only offering Vista 32-bit.

You're not stupid. These things happen even to the best of us, and, yes, 32 bit Vista is the only Vista available from Dell.

yea they can change it. Also i do believe the key provided on the laptop will also work for 64 bit w/o having to call though im not positive.

You can probably get Dell to send you the 64 bit CD and then use the key you have since it does not differentiate between 32/64 bit. However, you will be on the hook to get the correct drivers. There is a thread though where they gathered up all the 64 bit drivers.
