Any idea why Amazon and Best Buy have much better prices that the Dell website? XPS 13 and 15 for the same specs. One XPS 15 model was about $400 cheaper!

    Cheers,

It's not uncommon to have other retailers have cheaper prices than Dell. Dell typically prices high and then discounts with coupons. Amazon or BestBuy usually have their best prices listed. Dell's pricing is really volatile and some days you can get great deals and others not so much.

I am looking forward to replace my 9-year old Thinkpad at work with the XPS 13 NNE (no nostrol edition), which CPU is good for chrome and thunderbird?

Is the 1080p screen option matte/non-glossy?

A reddit user has reported that his/her FHD SKU is matte https://www.reddit.com/r/Dell/comme...is_not_bringing_back_the_matte_screen/eexemmk

I have a FHD model on order and should be here on Tuesday so will also confirm. I'm wanting Glossy though so will be returning in the event it is matte.

This is the first time I've ordered a Dell product and I've been really frustrated by the lack of a clarity on the XPS 13 specifications. For example, Dell have published a Setup and Specifications pdf for the 9380 on their website (UK version) and I don't have any faith in its accuracy. The document states that all display options are glossy which we now believe is wrong and, even more basic - they state that the 4K display has the same 166 PPI as the FHD panel!!!

I can confirm the 1080p panel option is matte.

I just shared my impressions in a separate "Dell XPS 13 9380 Owners Thread" - hope they are helpful to you.

This is quite peculiar; the Dutch website (specifically the user manual of the 9380) as well as support state that the 1080p non touch version should also be glossy. What country are you from, perhaps it’s different in different countries? Still, this inconsistency in matte vs. glossy is very weird, as I would in fact like a glossy display better.
