oh man this looks awesome, I may shift to this vs the asus UX303LA I was planning on getting in the next few months. The only thing I don't like is the 1080p screen isn't touchscreen like the QHD.

I used EPP and that code didn't work when I tried it just now. There's a $75 off coupon plus the EPP 2% discount so it came out to almost the same thing. Didn't get free next day shipping though. I'll call Dell about that. Thanks!

That is correct that the $100 code doesn't work for EPP checkouts. When I ordered, I compared regular vs EPP and the regular ended up being $5 cheaper for me with free next day shipping.

    Is the 1080p screen matte?

In Dell’s site you can’t find a 1080p touchscreen option. That’s a shame, because the 1080p is matte and probably more power efficient.

My ideal config is 1080p/i7/16gb of ram. Unfortunately, not supporting 16gb of ram is a deal breaker. Too bad because it's a really nice machine.

When I was ordering, I used our business rep. He stated that the 1080p panel is glossy without the gorilla glass covering. Like the chat rep I spoke with earlier, he stated that the 1080p should be an IPS panel but couldn't verify the nits.

I am not that confident in the answers I received as he didn't seem to have that much information at hand. I guess we will find out for sure when they start showing up from orders or for reviews.

The 1080P panel is offered in matte. These videos should give you some insight in the difference between both options.
