I recently changed the SSD on my XPS from the 512 Gb to a 1 Tb m.2 SSD. Dell CS (from India) called me the next day after I installed Win7Pro on the new SSD and asked me if everything on my XPS was functioning well. I was taken back as this is the second time Dell called after I reinstalled Windows on the SSD (first one was Win10Pro on a second 512 Gb SSD). I asked the CS agent why they are tracking what's happening to my XPS and why. The CSA then hung up the phone without saying anything, just hung up.

I am not liking this tracking. What else is Dell tracking? Not pleased.

It's a scam; I got a similar call and they hung up when I asked to speak to a Dell supervisor. How they got my number and knew I was a Dell customer is a mystery. As far as I know, Dell does not call a customer unless there is an open case on your system.
