Is the ini modding process the same with win10? I only ever did it with win7, the thing I'd be concerned with most is the driver signing, I think I just turned that off in the bios on win7 and every time I updated drivers it asked me if I wanted to install it because it wasn't signed, worked fine. Win10 seems like it would be harder to do that idk.

Unfortunately this is not possible for 8770W and all of the other elitebooks.

...Such an adapter will not be directly attached to the GPU so you will not get great graphics performance.

Why? It's just for an output to an external tv or monitor with speakers if you want it, the card will be interacting through the slot on the mb. Just a projector type of thing. Isn't it like usb headphones etc?

USB audio doesn't use the sound card/chip in your system either. There is a DAC embedded in the USB output device that generates the sound output. Uncompressed sound output is much lower bitrate than video.

Similarly, USB video output won't be driven by your GPU, but by a (much inferior) small GPU in the USB output device. There is no interface directly from the GPU to the USB ports.

This isn't true for newer systems with USB-C. These systems have a direct connection to the GPU for DisplayPort output (which can be converted to HDMI with an adapter).
