Dell Precision 7720 Bios bricked need help repairing dump

    Hello!

    I have a dell precision 7720 it failed bios update and now after i press power button laptop shuts down after 5 seconds.
    I have read the chip by a programmer and i have 16mb dump.
    Please help me to repair it.

    Silly question, did you try the stock Dell bios recovery?

    You can see steps here on Dell's site.

    Or you can try holding down the power button for 30 seconds and that should start the bios recovery process.

    I tried but it doesn't do anything only powers on for couple seconds and shuts off doesn't matter how long I will hold power button screen is dark with no picture or backlight.

    You need to create a USB key using the steps mentioned here, otherwise the dell pc won't boot up.

    Follow the steps that c69k has written otherwise the PC won't go into recovery mode. I've put the link in above post.

    The link is not working but if you mean to create a recovery usb I tried it already and it will not turn on anyway.

    I tried that either and from dell site but no luck in my case. The recovery procedure won't start at all. I checked the motherboard it has all voltages needed to work. No shorts found. It's only firmware based issue.

    Does it attempt to boot up with the ctrl+escape?

    It behaves same as i just press power button. It turns on for a second there is an hdd activity led blinking and power led solid on and than it turns off. If i will unplug ram it will blink an error code for 2 ember and 5 white blinks. but no post or backlight of lcd.
