    Hi,

I have both a USB-C version and an older 4.5m barrel version.

The plug on the battery end is the same for both, which begs the question, can I use the USB-C tip on the older version. It would certainly make use of an otherwise useless battery.

I dont want to try in case it does BANG!

    Thanks
    Dan

I figured no one knew, and I could wait no longer.

I tried it, no bangs. Everything works.

The USB-C lead works with the older power bank and the older power bank cable works with the newer USB-C battery and power supply.

I have the hybrid battery/charger combo, even the charger for the combo battery will charge the older battery using the cable that came with the older battery.

Based on this, I figured that the batteries have not changed, only the cables.

So all the batteries must be putting out 19v. This makes sense as the USB-C cables has something extra, I guess this is whats converts the 19v to 5v so the USB PD cant negotiate.
