Hello from reading around the forum I have found out that to upgrade to a FHD screen I require a new LVDS cable (6G4XC), my current one (HJNM0) wont work for the upgrade.
I am now trying to confirm the screen to use, I was thinking of the (B156HW01 V.4) from this video the guy upgrades his m4700 screen and the bracket moutings look identical to the ones on the m4800, but based on a post in this thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/screen-upgrade-issues-on-precision-m4800-help.750280/ the LVDS cable which was suggested did not work in the m4800. My question is would the screen work?

To upgrade to anything beyond 1080p60, you need an eDP cable, the eDP screen, and the eDP enabled M4800, they're are different motherboard revisions

So based on the info that my screen is connected using a LVDS cable and the planed screen works in a m4700 using a LVDS connection then it should work, but i presume the bracket which is put on the panel is identical to that on a m4800 even though the LVDS cable is not due to the physical layout where it designed to run.
