Damn I realized it's a lot cheaper here in Canada... I bought that exact spec (minus the IPS of course) for $1250 CAD - $125 cashback = $1125 CAD = $820 USD

According to youtube review of the model with FHD TN display (euro model with white keyboard), it looks like machines with white keyboard have better TN displays, though i could be wrong:

Just be aware some resellers (EX: BEST BUY) are selling the ones with the TN panel not the IPS for the 4th model. The "Display" information on the website does not indicate TN or IPS, even though the store person stated it had an IPS screen.

    4K is 40-pin. FHD is 30-pin.

Hi, finally bought the machine, euro model i7-7700HQ, UHD screen, nVidia 1050Ti 4GB, 128GB SSD (SKhynix) + 1TB HDD (Toshiba) + 8GB RAM, Ubuntu (I did a clean Win10 home install), surprisingly enough it came with the red keyboard.
Screen is nice, slight backlight bleeding left bottom corner and edge, but nothing too noticable. No scaling issues (older apps that have scaling issues just run in compatibility mode set to high DPI: System).
It already came with AHCI mode activated in BIOS despite BIOS not being the latest version from dell site.
Noisewise, it is loud while playing games on charger (headphones are appreciated), but surprisingly quiet when playing games on battery. Machine never gets hot, it has good cooling.
Most of the time except when gaming machine is silent. Hope this info helps someone.
    Cheers

Could you tell us the exact model# of your display panel? You could run Moninfo and copy/paste the 'Raw data' section at the bottom-right of the window or use 'File -> Save as .bin' and upload that somewhere.
