    I bought this promo G7 with 8Gb (2 x 4Gb) and 256Mb SSD (m2 but not NVMe).
    Then I ordered 2 x 8Gb Crucial Ballistix Sport LT DDR4 2666 (PC4-21300) DR x8 SODIMM 260-Pin.
    But they didn't work in G7 =/
    Any clues?

I'd have to ask my buddy to see what "answer" he got from dell about ram compatibility. The best and most hopeful thing we can do is have some benevolent soul with the 16gb kit post pictures of his ram and the specs so we can source some ram.

Shouldn't be this difficult to source some bloody ram for an intel laptop especially since this six core processor is showing up in all the $1000+ gaming laptops now.

Download Hwinfo. Under displays it will tell you the model number for your display.

Is it worthwhile to try and grab a refurb 7577 with the i7 vs getting the newer model? I'm running the old 7559 right now, so... jumping to the 7577 would be a hefty bonus for my CPU and nearly triple what my GPU could do. I love my 7559 too... so whatever I buy has to be at least as good, if not better in every respect.
