    That's the stock configuration.

You mean to say the laptop doesn't support any other speed?

Correct. Unless you can get a fancy bios flash.

Pretty sure the new CPU's only support up to 2666 RAM speeds stock.
Faster RAM will default to stock speeds.

No one has tested further so any supposition without testing is just guess work.

    Hey Bob,

Did you ever test the G7 using Asus Realbench 2.56

The new XPS with the 8750h got 79,258

My EVGA with the 7700hq got 71,637. Fire Strike was 9,511 (11,124 graphics, 10,558 physics, 4254 combined). I guess the G7 was a little higher at 9,874.

Maybe Realbench isn't reliable. I rebooted each time I ran it and got the following scores: 69,116 -- 77,084 -- 81,898. It's all over the map.

Is the keyboard of g7 and g3 the same as Dell Inspiron 7577?

Did you get the EVGA SC15? What are your impressions on it?

I have the SC15, the new Dell XPS 15, and the G7. I might do my first YouTube video.

I might return the SC15 but I'll pay a 15% restocking fee, $150. Or I'll try to sell it. It is very well built and has a lot of features but the battery life is poor, as is the norm for gaming laptops.

I haven't decided yet. I have all three laptops and am going to do some tests this weekend.

Looking forward to them! There isn't a lot of information about the EVGA SC15, actually (in relation to other gaming notebooks). An important note should be the screen since there have been some issues brought up in relation to it
