Indeed, HIDEvolution has a much wider selection available. In fact, if ever I do get a new laptop, it would most likely be from them. Although, I am hoping they put out 144HZ/120hz monitor options for the RTX 2060 equipped G7s, particularly the 17 inch models. Currently, only the RTX2070 MaxQ G7s are the ones with the 144hz monitor options on their website and based on what I have seen so far.. The RTX Max Q GPUs are rather terrible when it comes to price to performance ratios.

Is the RTX2060 not maxQ? Maybe it will worth than the money from Outlet, but I do not see with I5 CPU option.

I talked to the German Dell guys on the phone today, unfortunately they are only offering 60Hz panels, no 144hz or gsync options planned currently. Probably crappy 60 Hz panels knowing Dell. Disappointing.

Dell USA already has 144hz version with 2070maxQ, for $2400.

Indeed, and they now also have the G7 17 Inch with a 144HZ as well for roughly $2,088, but it has the RTX2070MQ. I hope DELL releases more options for the G7, particularly the 17 inch, such as being able to pair the RTX2060 with a 144HZ monitor, as well as customize the internals such as the RAM, HDD/SDD as well as the color.

That pricing is a bit uncompetitive in my opinion. Also on the German store the description of the G7 line clearly says 144hz and gsync are optional. But no available options and none planned. Seriously what are they thinking, some weird guerilla marketing, confuse your customer as much as possible and sell alienware?

In my case, I am debating whether to get the G7 17 inch or the Alienware M15/M17. I really like thefreedom of customization you have with the Alienware M15/M17 that the Dell G7 17 does not have currently. However, I am still curious over the performance of the RTX2060 in the G7.

Currently Dell USA is showing the G7 15 w/144Hz available with 2070MQ only. But they are offering the G5 15 with 2060 144Hz. Aside from GPU, when spec'd the same (16GB, 512, 90Whr, 144Hz) the G7 costs $2330 vs the G5 at $1800. Looking at other manufacturers, the 2070MQ seems to carry a $300 premium over the 2060. The G7 has Killer wireless 1550, but you can buy one of those cards for $30.
So it would seem Dell is assigning a $200 premium to the G7's form factor? The cooling systems look the same from the "exploded view". Anyone have some thoughts on that?
I really want to order a new laptop, but the wait for reviews is killing me.
