    All,

I would like to share the following information with you. For the past week I have been getting calls from people with Indian accents claiming they where from Dell / Microsoft and my system was sending notifications of an infected Trojan. To those of you reading this DO NOT cooperate with these individuals; they will never call you if you do not have an open service request. Furthermore the phone number coming up was 661-748-0240 or Restricted, that phone number is a skype phone number which is a red flag.

After receiving the phone calls I contacted Alienware support who informed me they where aware of the issue. The scammers even had my service tag number which would lead me to believe there was an internal leak of information at Alienware/Dell. Read this report by arstechnica.com.

i used to like dell support assist
but somehow i got something weird that eating up my resources
yes cpu and ram usage 100%
already run sfc scannow without luck
but after unistalling support assist, it solved the problem
    what coincidence
do you have dell support installed on your system?

I removed all dell bloatware / remote assist software. If all my data can be leaked who knows if the scammers can easily get control of the remote assist software and install malware. I advise everyone to remove any dell remote assist software as it is security vulnerability waiting to get breached.

Also if you are concerned take a look at malwarebytes free edition and run a full scan for any malware which may be installed on your system.

    i am using windows defender
and yes i got bsod kernel security failure right before windows boot
it may be driver conflict or windows telling me my windows had been infected by malware
but iirc i uninstall dell support before installing new killer driver
i also had email from dell to download messages and pictures sized 122 kb
it told me about special coupon

after googling windows and background process one by one (110 in total)
pretty sure my computer is malware free
and kernel security check failure before windows boot is windows defending method to virus/malware infections besides driver problem.
