Anybody have any first-hand experience with the Dell 600M getting hot key pad after 30 minutes?

A hot key pad? That should definitley not happen and I would suggest calling Dell. What I can suggest to do in the meantime would be to get into a well ventilated space and using canned air, blow the dust out as that too can be the cause of some heating. The 600m's main fan is on the bottom left and if it is covered, the left area under the keyboard does get hot. If you find this is the case for you, just adjust how you hold/place the 600m, and maybe invest in something that will allow the 600m to sit on a tilt.
