search file dump from the native decoder board from elitebook 8770w with DC2

wriring and copy dumping the decoder board in 8770w dreamcolor? (they mean dumping the chip from MX25Q32 at position U3)

this is necessary in order to buy a decoder board from 8570 and upgrade the dump version from 8760 or 8770 to it, and in turn to work for an additional brightness which 8570 does not have.

that is, version 8570 (as well as 8560 and 8470) has only 200 nits of brightness, while versions 8760 and 8770 have 300 nits of brightness.

    thank you.

as I understand it, this is a risky step and not everyone wants to do it? sadness:( ..

in short, I ordered for my 8770w matrix Lp173wf3 slb3 and a decoder card version zbook g1 15 "and the corresponding cables. Let's see what happens. I also watched the HP notebook forum in China. There are ready-made firmware for the decoder board, but this does not mean that everything will work out, because in addition to the firmware, we need a dump file from the native decoder board, which was installed at the factory exclusively for the 8760/8770 model.

By the way, I’m a little off topic, but I don’t want to create a new topic - I saw the RTX 3000 video card from the zbook g5 / g6 laptop, it fits perfectly with the dimensions of mxm 3.0b and, moreover, for our 8770w laptop it fits exactly with the dimensions. The question is - will all this work at the software level or not?)

I'm sorry I am illiterate because I write through a Google translator, sorry)))

I have pretty positive expectations that RTX 3000/4000/5000 will work on 8770W DC.

    Hi
I would like to know more about the temperature conditions of your GTX 1070 graphics card in this laptop, 8770w. When you bought this video card and immediately put it into a laptop with cooling (before modding adding two copper tubes) with two copper tubes (stock), what were the first temperature tests? Was the video card 100% loaded? I ate 122 watts? It was interesting that you reduced her frequencies by one time ( to 1400-1500 MHz core clock ) to check the temperature test, what was it like? 72 degrees? Was it all on liquid metal or thermal grease?
and also about modding two copper tubes - did you say that the temperature dropped by 10 degrees?
So, before that there was liquid metal or thermal grease, and after modding what happened as TIM ( thermal interface material )?
This is important to me, since I also want to do this, and I need to know that it's worth it ....
    or maybe I'll take the 1060th ....

    thank you.

The first temp test were with Liquid metal TIM and gpu went up to 86-87C max.
After adding two more heat-pipes they dropped to 78-80C.
With undervolt to 0.800V they were 80-82C before the mod and 68-69C after.
I am using it at 1700Mhz core and 4250Mhz mem at 0.800V for 24/7.
I wouldn’t recommend such an upgrade with default cooling as during the summer temps will rise above 90C and this can damage the card.

    UPD:
I put the DC2 screen in my laptop, everything works. 300 nits of brightness is. I also dumped a flash drive dump from my decoder board, and shared with a friend who has a 8560w with limited brightness (I have 300 nits and it has 210 nits). He flashed my dump into his flash from the laptop's 8560w decoder board. Did not help. Let's try to solder the next 25c32 chip, but it's not soon)

Does your friend has 8560W or 8760W?

There's two eeproms on the board; one SPI (type 25) and the other I2C (type 24). The latter contains information or settings for colour spaces, so might be that brightness is specified there as well.

Made a dump of the type 24 from the board of an 8740W. Interested in that model as well?
